Strengths: Senior leadership and experience at skilled positions.
Concerns: Depth and size in both offensive and defensive lines.
Outlook: With 10 returning starters, Deschenes sees his team performing better this year and outdoing its 6-5 record of last fall. Deschenes credits last year's wins partially to the speed of his team on the field, which he says his team has not only maintained, but this is year is complemented by notable size. Offensive tackle Kevin Papargiris stands a formidable 6-2, 225-pounds while 5-11, 230-pound teammate Ben O'Donnell anchors the opposite side of the line. Cedric Wright continues to contribute speed at defensive end, with defensive tackle Nick Manganello doing his job to keep the opposing score down. Deschenes believes a tough four-game non-league schedule to open the season will prove a testament to the work ethic that Attleboro's veteran starters are passing down to their younger counterparts. "Our seniors have the right attitude," Deschenes said. "They're helping our younger kids to progress."
